This course is designed for students majoring in Digital Content Design to investigate the regulations regarding trademark, patent, copyright law, the right of publicity and trade secret and their application on digital design and communication through theoretical introduction and case study. The main topics cover trademark design and utilization, patentability and management of patent in commerce, copyright issues on authorship creation, digital design and information communication, responsibility for internet service provider, database protection, the right of publicity and trade secret.
