衝突是指兩個(含)以上相關聯的主体,因互動行為所導致不和諧狀態;衝突之所以發生可能是利害關係人對若干議題的認知、意見、需求、利益不同,或是基本道德觀、宗教信仰不同等關係所致。廣泛來說,由於社會上的資源、權力稀少不足以分配、及社會地位和價值結構上的差異,不免帶來不調和甚至不一致的互動,衝突由之不斷產生。衝突不但刺激經濟和科學的改變,同時也瓦解舊有的規範和風俗制度,因此,衝突可視為造成社會系統內部改變的因素、或整個系統的改變。衝突是人類社會難以避免的現象,不但是有破壞的一面,也有建設性的一面;學者認為不應忽視衝突在促進改革的積極角色和功能。衝突管理即是肇因於此,應以系統、科學的方式來消除認知和價值差異等障礙,使衝突過程中減少可能或不必要的傷害,以促進有利衝突雙方的結果。本課程目的即在於使學生了解衝突的本質、意涵與解決衝突問題的技巧。

Conflict is an unharmonious status what was cause of the interactions between two or more related subjects. Conflict may occur to the differences by stakeholders’ recognition of some issues, opinions, demands, benefits, basic moral concepts or religious belief. For the social resources and power were seldom and can’t distributable enough, it hardly bring a harmonic and consistency interaction between subjects that therefore conflict occurs continually. Conflict not only drives the change of economics and sociality, but also conducts alteration of used norms and culture. There are two phases of conflict, one is constructively, the other is destructively. Scholars have considered we shouldn’t neglect that conflict could put forward a benefit for improving a change from the constructively phase by its active role and animated function. The purpose of the course is to make students understand meaning and essence of conflicts, the skills to resolve problems and the ways can increase the good results from irreconcilable conflict.
