《 上課要求 》
Students are expected to come to class on time and to participate in all activities. Participation includes being prepared for class; cooperating; using English; and following classroom rules. Students should check Virtual Campus each day for classroom announcements. If absent, a student should ask the instructor or a classmate about what was missed and possible assignments or quizzes. Attendance: Attendance is recorded from the first day a student registers for class. At the instructor’s discretion, up to three absences may be excused if supported by appropriate documentation. Exceptions are made for students who are pregnant, take a maternity leave, take care of a child three years of age or younger, and perform national service or service to CCU. All such claims must be verified by the Counseling Center.

Students are expected to complete all homework assignments on time.

Grading Scheme: Attendance : 15% Participation : 15% Homework and/or quizzes: 20% In-class activities: 10% Midterm exam or project: 20% Final exam or project: 20%
Homework or quizzes may be assigned regularly. Information about all the exams or homework assignments will be announced in class or on iCan by the instructor. Those who are absent should contact the instructor about what was missed and possible exams or assignments.
The class participation grade is based on the following: 1. Preparation for class (bringing books, notebooks, homework, etc.) 2. Cooperation with the instructor and classmates 3. The use of English during class 4. Adherence to classroom rules

Students are encouraged to actively participate in discussion during class as this may be one of the few opportunities to use English.

Students with any condition or situation, either permanent or temporary, that could affect class performance, should advise the instructor so that accommodations can be made.
