Global warming has led to severe ecological degradation, whether it is natural capital or social capital in terms of daily life. From a broad perspective of sustainable development, it is one of the reconstruction processes in the process of globalization, causing people to rethink the impact of various social development behaviors on the natural environment, and the challenge of balancing environmental protection and corporate production efficiency. Sustainable development is a major issue that humanity must face in the 21st century. The concept of ESG is an environmental movement that emerged in the 1960s. The development of ESG can be divided into three stages, namely 1960-1990, 1991-2000, and 2001 present. In 2015, the United Nations released the Paris Agreement and made significant progress in global climate governance. In 2016, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued climate related financial disclosure recommendations, requiring listed companies to disclose climate related financial information. Therefore, ESG sustainable development combined with net zero carbon emissions has become the most important task for major companies to implement low-carbon fees. In order to provide students with the ability to adapt to social trends and future growth skills, this course will elaborate on the core elements, assessments, regulations, and international standards of ESG. Emphasize the goals and principles of climate change on greenhouse effect and carbon emission management. Exploring the relationship between social equity, inclusiveness, development, and responsibility in ESG social responsibility. In terms of ESG corporate governance, emphasis is placed on sustainable development governance, efficiency, indicator risk management, and practice. I hope to lead students into the realm of ESG knowledge through this course.
