This course is designed for understanding the interrelations between politics and economy from the international and global perspectives.
The topics include the related theories, issues and actors involved. Four approaches are discussed: mercantilism, liberalism, Marxism, realism.
The issues include: international trade, international investment, international finance, dollar hegemony, financial crisis, technological innovation, global poverty, energy problem, food problem, climate change, immigration problem, transnational corporations, globalization, regional integration, free trade zones, China's emergence.
