Amid the wave of globalization and digital transformation, how enterprises integrate internal resources, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen competitiveness has become a critical challenge for managers. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems serve as an essential tool to break down departmental silos and integrate both information and material flows. This course is designed to guide students toward a comprehensive understanding of ERP concepts, its historical development, and its applications in business management, enabling them to grasp the challenges and key success factors in ERP implementation. The course content covers ERP fundamentals, system architecture, and core modules, including financial management, human resources, supply chain management, production scheduling, and customer relationship management. It not only emphasizes understanding system architecture but also highlights the linkage between ERP and corporate strategy, allowing students to analyze how ERP creates value, improves decision-making quality, and enhances competitiveness. In addition, this course incorporates the certification framework of the Chinese ERP Association’s ERP Planner Certification, aiming to equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with the professional competency required to pursue recognized certification.
