《 上課要求 》
出席規定:
修習本課程學生應準時上課，並踴躍參與課堂各項學習活動。鼓勵同學積極以英文參與課堂討論及活動。同學應每日注意虛擬校園公告，並遵循任課老師之各項考試、作業及出缺勤評分之相關規定。(出席計算乃自同學選課成功後，應上課之第一日開始計算。)
其他說明：
-依本校學則第四章第三十一條，學生因故不能上課，請准事假、病假者為“缺課”…。
-若學生因懷孕、分娩、陪產或撫育三歲以下子女之需要等，而核准之事（病）假、產假，不予扣分。(有相關需求者，須逕向「學生事務組」申請並提交任課教師。) 請准公假者，亦不作缺課論，不予扣分。(欲請公假者須逕向「學生事務組」申請公假證明，並由學生交付該證明給老師請公假。)
-學生之生理假(每月至多一次)及心理調適假(每學期至多三次)，無須提供證明，不以缺課計，亦不予扣分。
Students are expected to come to class on time and to participate in all activities. Participation includes being prepared for class; cooperating; using English; and following classroom rules. Students should check Virtual Campus each day for classroom announcements. When absent, they should call another student for the homework assignment.
Attendance is recorded from the first day students register for class. Exceptions are made for students who are:
1.Pregnant
2.Taking maternity leave or paternity leave
3.Taking parental leave (for the care of a child aged three or younger)
4.Performing national service or service to CCU
5.Taking psychological adjustment leave (up to three times per semester) or menstrual leave (one day per month)
Items 1–4 must be verified by the Counseling Center. Official documents should be submitted to the instructors.

Midterm Exam:
The midterm exam may be computer-based or paper & pencil. It will include both the general (Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading) and the listening sections. 期中考形式採取電腦上機考試或紙筆測驗兩者之一。考試內容包括: 字彙、文法、慣用語、閱讀及聽力。
Final Exam:
The final exam may also be computer-based or paper & pencil. The test includes general (Vocabulary, Language use, Grammar and Reading) and listening sections. 期末考形式採取電腦上機考試或紙筆測驗兩者之一。考試內容包括: 字彙、文法、慣用語、閱讀及聽力。
The final oral exam will be administered during the Listening/Speaking class. It assesses spoken language studied throughout the course. 期末口試將利用會話課課堂內舉行。
Self-directed learning: 自主學習 (17& 18週)
On the 17th and 18th week, students are required to complete online homework assignments on iCan. (No in-person classes)
第17和18週為自主學習週，無實體課程，以線上學習方式進行。學習方式及內容請依教師課堂公告為準。

《 討論要求 》
Students are encouraged to actively participate in discussion during class as this may be one of the few opportunities to use English.
由於英文課是大部分學生僅有的機會使用英文, 因此鼓勵學生積極參與課堂討論。

《 其他要求 》
Outstanding students may be recommended to skip one or more levels as language proficiency warrants. Eligibility includes, but is not limited to, instructor recommendation and achieving at least 80 on the final grade. 英文程度且成績優異者，得由任課教師推薦跳級。資格除了各細項成績符合指標外(含小考、作業、出席、課堂參與及期中考成績表現特優)，同學該學期的英文期末總成績必須達到至少80分才得以跳級。
同學若有特殊狀況，會影響課業表現的情形，應該要先告知老師。
