《 上課要求 》
出席規定:
修習本課程學生應準時上課，並踴躍參與課堂各項學習活動。鼓勵同學積極以英文參與課堂討論及活動。同學應每日注意虛擬校園公告，並遵循任課老師之各項考試、作業及出缺勤評分之相關規定。(出席計算乃自同學選課成功後，應上課之第一日開始計算。)
其他說明：
-依本校學則第四章第三十一條，學生因故不能上課，請准事假、病假者為“缺課”…。
-若學生因懷孕、分娩、陪產或撫育三歲以下子女之需要等，而核准之事（病）假、產假，不予扣分。(有相關需求者，須逕向「學生事務組」申請並提交任課教師。) 請准公假者，亦不作缺課論，不予扣分。(欲請公假者須逕向「學生事務組」申請公假證明，並由學生交付該證明給老師請公假。)
-學生之生理假(每月至多一次)及心理調適假(每學期至多三次)，無須提供證明，不以缺課計，亦不予扣分。
Students are expected to come to class on time and to participate in all activities. Participation includes being prepared for class; cooperating; using English; and following classroom rules. Students should check Virtual Campus each day for classroom announcements. If absent, a student should ask the instructor or a classmate about what was missed and possible assignments or quizzes.
Attendance is recorded from the first day a student registers for class. Exceptions are made for students who are pregnant, take a maternity or paternity leave, take care of a child three years of age or younger, and perform national service or service to CCU. All such claims must be verified by the Counseling Center. In addition, menstrual leave (one day per month) and psychological adjustment leave (up to three times per semester) are not considered absences either.

Grading Scheme:
出席Attendance: 15%
參與Participation: 15%
作業/隨堂測驗Homework and/or quizzes: 20%
課堂活動In-class activities: 10%
期中考Midterm exam or project: 20%
期末考Final exam or project: 20%
The class participation grade is based on the following:
1. Preparation for class (bringing books, notebooks, homework, etc.)
2. Cooperation with the instructor and classmates
3. The use of English during class
4. Adherence to classroom rules

Information about the midterm and final exams/projects will be announced in class or on iCan by the class instructor.
Self-directed learning weeks自主學習週(17 & 18週)
On the 17th and 18th week, there will be no in-person classes. Please follow the instructor ‘s directions to complete online homework assignments.
第17和18週為自主學習週，無實體課程，以線上學習方式進行。學習方式及內容請依教師課堂公告為準。

Students are encouraged to actively participate in discussion during class as this may be one of the few opportunities to use English.
