Organizational Behavior (OB) is an interdisciplinary field that integrates concepts from psychology, sociology, and social psychology. It aims to explore employee behavior in the workplace from three levels—individual, group, and organizational—and to examine how such behaviors relate to employee productivity and overall organizational performance. Key topics covered in this course include: contemporary challenges faced by organizations, workforce diversity, attitudes and job satisfaction, personality and values, emotions and stress management, perception and individual decision-making, motivation, group dynamics and teams, communication, leadership, power and politics, organizational culture, and managing organizational change.
Accordingly, the learning objectives of this course are as follows: 1.To understand core concepts of organizational behavior and employee behavior mechanisms as a foundation for effective business management and decision-making. 2.To analyze how individual differences—such as values, personality, and perception—affect workplace communication, thereby strengthening situational judgment and interpersonal effectiveness. 3.To explore practical issues related to leadership, motivation, organizational culture, and conflict management, enhancing students’ adaptability and management capability in diverse workplace environments. 4.To develop an understanding of group behavior and effective team dynamics, in order to promote collaboration and improve organizational performance.
