建築結構為建築物的骨幹,擔負起支撐建築物重要任務。除此之外建築結構必須確保建築物安全、維持建築物空間型態、樣貌及提供各種所需之重要功能與機能。「建築構造與施工」即闡明如何應用各種建材、構築型態及特有施工技術,俾使建築結構除了能夠滿足上述功能外,更能達到安全、舒適、環保、節能、經濟及永續發展等重要目的。因此本課程除了說明目前常見建築構造形式與施工方法外,並介紹先進之工程案例與嶄新之施工技術、機械與方法。期望透過本課程讓學生瞭解創新設計及工程理論如何與實務相輔相成。進而使得新穎的創意設計,能夠一一被完成與實現。

The building structure serves as the backbone of a building, bearing the critical responsibility of supporting the entire construction. In addition to this fundamental role, the structure must ensure the building’s safety, maintain its spatial configuration and appearance, and provide essential functions and utilities. The course "Building Structures and Construction" explains how to apply various building materials, structural forms, and specific construction techniques to not only fulfill these functions but also achieve key objectives such as safety, comfort, environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainable development. Therefore, this course not only introduces common structural systems and construction methods currently in use, but also presents advanced engineering cases along with innovative construction technologies, machinery, and techniques. Through this course, students are expected to understand how innovative design and engineering theory work in harmony with practical application, enabling creative and novel designs to be successfully executed and realized.
