本課程旨在使學生透過理論與實務的訓練過程，引導學生了解文字之機能性與審美性，依據設計原則與編排形式並透過電腦輔助軟體工具，學習應用設計思考進行規劃與版面設計，培養作為一個設計專業人員所應具備之能力。
專業的設計師不僅要知道各個要素之間的相似或不同，同時還要知道各個要素所傳達信息，由編排設計理論，並理解編排設計的觀念和方法，對編排設計的概論、原理、要素、審美、視覺動線、版面配置、網格系統、構圖、字體應用、標題設計等方面整合應用，運用設計三元素圖像、文字與色彩，進行實務訓練並具備商業設計能力。
應用性包含
1.書籍/雜誌製作：版面配置、頁碼、目錄、索引、印前準備、電子書轉換。
2.簡報設計：簡報排版、商業配色、字體應用、資訊圖表。
3.社群/行銷：社群素材、海報、廣告貼文設計。

This course aims to enable students to the theory and practice through the planning process, guiding students to understand the functional and aesthetic nature of the text. Through computer-aided software tools, learn the wisdom to consider the application and creation, capacity as a design professionals should possess. Good designer should not only know of similar or different between the various elements, but also know the various elements of the information conveyed by the layout design theory, and understand concepts and methods of layout design, layout design of Studies, History of Development, respect the principle elements of aesthetic, visual flow, composition and application, etc., for practical training.
