本課程為統計學之初階課程，主要內容為介紹統計學之基本理論及一般應用，包含兩大領域：一、敘述統計；二、推論統計。此課程訓練學生熟悉統計學之四大程序，包括資料蒐集、整理、分析與歸納結論。課程設計旨在提供學習者應用統計學之科學方法作資料分析，進而根據分析所得之結果，來推論世界上許多未知的現象。本課程培養學生思考及如何應用統計方法解決問題之能力，為未來某些進階課程、社會或自然科學研究、企業之經營管理…等多方面之必要基礎課程。課程內容中會利用excel或SPSS等軟體加以輔助，提升同學實作分析技巧。

This introductory course in statistics introduces the fundamental theories and general applications of statistics, covering two main areas: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The course trains students to become familiar with the four major procedures of statistics: data collection, processing, analysis, and inductive reasoning. The course is designed to provide learners with the ability to apply scientific statistical methods to data analysis and, based on the results, to infer many unknown phenomena in the world. This course cultivates students' critical thinking skills and their ability to apply statistical methods to solve problems, providing a necessary foundation for future advanced courses, social or natural science research, business management, and many other fields. The course will utilize software such as Excel or SPSS to enhance students' practical analytical skills.
