2.明瞭地理資訊系統在空間規畫設計裡能有的潛力，及其可能的限制。
3.學習應用GIS技術於空間規劃設計與論文研究當中。
4.如何建構GIS，並深入瞭解對空間規畫設計之影響。
內容：
1.基礎理論講述部分包括：
GIS的空間資料與規畫特性、GIS的空間知識與表達、GIS的資料結構、GIS的資料處理、GIS的分析功能與規畫設計的技術、GIS展示功能於規、畫設計的方向。其他有關GIS的領域於空間規畫設計應用的潛能則包括遙感探測的應用、都市資訊系統的應用、環境資訊系統的應用、圖形資料庫的建立、資訊網絡的應用等。
2.應用軟體技術部分包括：
GIS應用軟體介紹與實習（ArcGIS）﹑GIS的系統規畫方法。如實際資料收集、數化、座標校正、轉換、相片基本圖處理、等高線製作、資料分析等。
3.發展案例介紹部分包括：
遙感探測的應用、都市資訊系統的應用、環境資訊系統的應用、圖形資料庫的建立、資訊網絡的應用等。
4.論文回顧報告部分包括：
針對相關有興趣的領域、國內外GIS相關網站、近五年國內GIS的相關研究文獻進行回顧，並深入探討其應用的方法、開發的系統、建立的資料庫等，進而應用於空間規劃設計與論文研究當中。

The objects of this course including:
1.To introduce the technology development and theory background of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
2.To know about the possibility and limits of GIS application to environmental planning and design.
3.Learning how to applying the technology of GIS to environmental planning and design and themes’ research.
4.To understand the system planning concept of GIS and how to impact the environmental planning and design.
The context included:
1. On the basis of the theory include:
GIS data and spatial characteristics of the planning, GIS knowledge and expression of space, GIS data structure, GIS data processing, GIS analysis of functional design and technical planning, GIS display functions in the regulation, the direction of painting the design. Other relevant areas of GIS in planning the design space of potential applications include remote sensing applications, the application of urban information systems, environmental information systems, the establishment of a database graph, the application of information network.
2. The application of software technology include:
GIS Introduction and practical applications (ArcGIS) ﹑ GIS system planning methods. If the actual data collection, the number and coordinates of correction, conversion, basic photo processing, the production of contour lines, the data analysis.
3. The development of the case introduced include:
Application of remote sensing, urban information systems, environmental information systems, the establishment of a database graph, the application of information network.
4. Recalling the report of papers include:
For related areas of interest, both at home and abroad GIS-related Web site, nearly five years of relevant national GIS research literature review, and explore its applications in depth approach, the development of the system, such as the establishment of a database, and then applied to the design and spatial planning thesis study.
