研究计划成果 (PROJECTS AND GRANTS) (Details)
2012-2013: was appointed the project manager for UC s Learning Analytics project within the Teaching and Learning Centre.

2007-2010: Completed Australian Learning and Teaching Council s Competitive Grants Program, on the teaching of Science using language strategies in first year undergraduate program with colleagues from five universities in Australia. The project title was A cross disciplinary approach to language support for first year students in the science disciplines .

The disciplines covered were Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I was the project leader. The grant was for the sum of AUD $121992.00.

2007-2008: Granted University of Canberra Teaching Grant, funded by the University of Canberra with Dr Alice Richardson in the teaching of Statistics using language strategies.

2006-2007: Collaborative research with Dr Maliwan Buranapatana of KhonKaen University with a grant from the Centre for Research on Plurality in the Mekong Region, KhonKaen University and the University of Canberra.

2006-2007: Awarded a University of Canberra Teaching Performance grant with colleagues aimed to enhance students access to foreign language cultures through the use of a multimedia database for Japanese, Spanish and Mandarin languages.

2005-2006: Awarded a University of Canberra teaching grant for 2005 to investigate the application of language teaching techniques to the teaching of Science with Dr Brett Lidbury of the School of Health Sciences. The title of the grant was Applying Language Teaching Pedagogy to the teaching of Science subjects. The grant was for the sum of AUD $20,041.92.

2005: Awarded a teaching grant to create an on-line Mandarin language database with Mr. Sam Hinton of the School of Creative Communication, Division of Communication and Education at the University of Canberra.

2003-2004: University of Canberra, Research grant. Project title: What contribution can an evaluative tool make to learner motivation and performance in language learning? . This was a year-long grant with me as the chief investigator and Professor Michael Wagner of Computer Science (specializing in voice recognition and sound engineering) as the project member. The grant was worth AUD $22399.00

1993-1994: National Teaching Development Grant, funded by the Committee for the Advancement of University Teaching (CAUT). The grant was for 1 year, AUD $32020.00. This grant is a team grant with myself as the chief investigator. Completed in 1994. The project title is: 'The Implementation of a Task-based Syllabus for a Group of Beginning Learners of Chinese.'
